This engine was bought in 1983 from Stove, Vermont where it had been sitting in a barn for the previous 15 years.  An insurance broker owned it and used the engine for advertising in the mid 60s.  He acquired it from the original department, Falmouth Maine Fire Department, a suburb of Portland, ME.  This engine was designed as a rural fire apparatus with a small 35 GPM Pump and a 100-gallon water tank (removed) for the small voluntary fire department in Falmouth.

After arriving at its new home, the tires were filled, oil changed, new battery, and it stated right up.  The fire engine, with only 3,000 miles at the time, was treated to a new coat of paint and a little chrome work before its first show.  Everything else on the rig is still in its original condition, including some of the tires.  The Model A has travel the West Coast on the muster circuit, seen many parades, car shows, graced the page of Calendar, and last year had the honor of being a get-a-way vehicle for young fire fighter and his bride!
